Lunches are light and often feature the famed Franschhoek salmon trout smoked, steamed or seared.
Dinners are a fine affair, usually comprising three or four courses. During the winter season, hearty fireside meals are served of slow-cooked tagines, pumpkin soups and baked puddings. Al fresco summer food could be grilled prawn, lime and chili salad, stuffed chicken supreme on crisp polenta and tangy tarte citron for dessert.
