Large herds of elephant and buffalo, great prides of lion, excellent leopard viewing and antelope by the thousands, make the 18 500 hectare Singita Private Game Reserve, based at the heart of the Sabi Sand, one of Africa's finest locations for viewing the Big 5 and among the most private and unspoiled wilderness experiences anywhere in the world.

North Island offers our guests a rare piece of tropical island paradise with a private beach experience and service tailored to suit your needs and preferred lifestyle. Recreational activities offered at North Island are designed to enjoy the Island and its natural magic, some offering complete freedom to move around North Island at your own pace, either on foot, mountain bike or Island Buggy. Two exhilarating scuba dives per day are offered to guests at no additional cost. Fly fishing from shore or through boat charter is a delight for avid fishermen. North Island–s Sunset cruise is a romantic excursion around North Island and Silhouette Island offering beautiful views of both islands from the sea. North also has good snorkeling around the island, masks and fins are provided. Kayaking is another delightful activity available from the dive center. Depending on the time of year, guests may be lucky enough to witness the Hawksbill and Green turtles laying their eggs on the eastern and western beaches of North Island. Guests are also able to explore the Island by hiking the granite outcrop and crossing the saddle linking the eastern and western plateau, to witness exceptional sea views.

All villas at North Island were individually handcrafted by Seychellois and African craftsmen on the Island itself. Each of North Island's villas measure 4,890 square feet; the optimal size to allow a feeling of exclusivity and solitude to enjoy a unique private island experience. The design concept ensures that the Villas would bring a sense of freedom and space, offering a sanctuary in which to free the mind and refresh the spirit.

The great expanse of private living space offered in the vastly open–to–seaview villas invite the breathtaking nature into the light interiors, where fresh tropical breeze flows freely. Each North Island Villa has two bedrooms: a main Master bedroom and a Second bedroom to accommodate children or use as a study. The principle materials used in construction were wood, local stone, glass and thatched roof, all combined to form a warm and inviting space that offers guests that rare opportunity of complete relaxation and solitude. The Villas are totally self-contained so guests can opt to have the chef prepare a meal for them in the privacy of their villa – if they so choose. All villas are raised over a meter off the ground to catch the cooling island breezes. The luxuriously appointed Master bedroom with dressing room opens onto a large en-suite bathroom with a romantic marble bath and two showers: one indoor and one outdoors on your private deck. The bedrooms are air-conditioned and also have overhead far-eastern ‘punkah’ fans. The fully retractable glass doors slide open to allow uninterrupted views onto the lawn and turquoise seas beyond. A satellite television, a DVD/CD system (with surround sound speakers also fitted in the outdoor deck area for those sunset swims to the sound of Mozart) and Internet access are offered in the room. A private plunge pool and sala are the finishing touches to your private sanctuary.
