Les Ambassadeurs at Crillon was given a new look by the Parisian interior designer, Sybille de Margeriem, who infused the former ballroom of the Dukes of Crillon with a modern warmth, without compromising its grand splendor. Subtle lighting brings a beautiful glow to the Sienna marble. Chef Jean-François Piège is both a composer and a performer at Les Ambassadeurs, serving the finest of French savoir-faire and the art of living, to which he adds his own personal ‘art of being’. Jean-François Piège has put together a classic French menu that takes a few incursions into contemporary cuisine. All villas at North Island were individually handcrafted by Seychellois and African craftsmen on the Island itself. The bedrooms are air-conditioned and also have overhead far-eastern ‘punkah’ fans. The fully retractable glass doors slide open to allow uninterrupted views onto the lawn and turquoise seas beyond. A satellite television, a DVD/CD system (with surround sound speakers also fitted in the outdoor deck area for those sunset swims to the sound of Mozart) and Internet access are offered in the room.
